About Our School
At the St.Romain Dance Academy, we are committed to providing the highest quality dance education in a wholesome and positive atmosphere where every student receives guidance and encouragement. Our training is centered around the study of classical ballet with jazz, tap, modern & pointe also offered. In addition, upper level students may take yoga, folk/character, Pilates, nutrition and pas de deux classes periodically. We strive to provide a comprehensive dance learning experience to interested students, whether they are pursuing a professional career or just dancing for enjoyment. In all levels, we encourage a non-competitive classroom atmosphere where students help each other learn and build lasting friendships. We are here to spread our knowledge and love of dance, unlocking the grace and beauty inside every eager young dancer we teach.

About Our Students
Academy students have been accepted into summer intensives at Alvin Ailey, American Ballet Theater, Atlanta Ballet, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, DCDC, Cincinnati Ballet and Point Park. Our graduating seniors have been accepted into dance degree programs at Butler University, Ohio State, Wright State, the University of Akron, Ohio University and Mercyhurst. In addition, students have participated in the Overture Awards each year, YAGP, Jazz Dance World Congress and numerous local theater productions. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and will continue to support all their efforts. BRAVO!

What We Offer

• Comprehensive technique training in ballet, jazz, tap & modern for all levels of dancers from beginners to advanced, pre-professional & adult.
• Counseling, guidance & audition preparation for any student wishing to pursue dance at a summer intensive or in college as a dance major or minor.
• NEW! A youth performing group, the St.Romain Youth Dance Company, for students in levels 4-7 wanting more performing opportunities during the year.
• NEW! A competition ensemble group for students in levels 4-7 wanting the excitement and thrill of performing in a competition setting for judges critique.
• Up to 3 stage performing opportunities offered each year including our very popular Nutcracker Holiday Show in Dec for students in Creative Dance 3 & Levels 4-7.
• NEW! 2 recital opportunities in Dec and May for our youngest students in Creative Dance 1 & 2 held at the Academy studios with no extra performance or ticket charges.
• 3 extremely clean & spacious dance studios with high ceilings, full length mirrors the entire width of each studio & unique non-slip dance flooring designed to help prevent injury & reduce fatigue.
• A qualified teaching staff, CPR certified & dedicated to continuing their education with ongoing training.
• Flexible advancement; students are not locked into a specific class for the entire year & may advance to the next level at any time during any term if they are ready.
• Home of the Rising Tide Dance Company & JUBILATION!, both Christian dance ministries in residence at the Academy with added performing opportunities for interested students.
