Correct ballet terminology is used along with hand held props to help discover all forms of movement. Body and music awareness, memory exercises, directional movement, basic tumbling and classroom etiquette are also taught. Students will learn and present two recital dances for each semester to be performed at the Academy in Dec and May. (please note: students must be potty trained to enter class)

BALLET 2 - Ages 4 - 6: A 1 hour class building upon the themes of Ballet 1 with many more challenging movements. In addition, students may choose to take tap or jazz as part of class. Students will learn and present two recital dances for each semester to be performed at the Academy in Dec and May.

MOMMY & ME - Ages 2 - 4: NEW! A 45 min class where parent and child dance and exercise together! Dancers must be at least 2 years of age, but need not be potty trained. 4 sessions of 8 classes are offered, this class will not participate in recitals. Please see separate tuition schedule for this class.

Barre work, stretching, center floor and across the floor exercises are part of every class. Correct placement and terminology are emphasized, along with proper class etiquette. Ballet is the most graceful, beautiful and DIFFICULT of all dance styles, if you master this, you can dance anything!

Tap 4 - 7: A technique class that teaches the dancer to become the rhythm and music themselves. Broadway Style Tap involving traditional, large tap movements, and Rhythm Tap, involving small complex rhythmic steps are taught. Looking towards musical theater in school? You MUST be able to tap, we can help!

Musical Theater 4/5: A technique and choreography class incorporating Broadway style tap and jazz with SINGING! Love to sing and dance? This class is for you!
