Creative Dance 1 & 2 Recitals:
NEW for 2008-2009! Our littlest students will have the opportunity to perform at the end of each semester! Our new Dec recital will be more informal and will be held during regular class time. (no purchased costumes needed) Our May recital is held separately on a Sat or Sun and performed with other classes in costume. Both events are held at the Academy, all family are welcome to attend. Video and photography allowed and encouraged!

Nutcracker Holiday Sweet CD3-Level 7:
New Carols will be added this year! Our annual Christmas production features new additions yearly of our favorite holiday carols along with favorite traditional Nutcracker roles. All students in CD3 and levels 4-7 are strongly encouraged (but not required) to participate, even beginner students! Audition is required for casting purposes only and all dancers auditioning are cast, no one is turned away. Detailed information available Aug 3, audition held in Sept with rehearsals running Sept-Dec, performances held in Dec at Lakota East HS.

Spring Show CD3-Level 7:
08-09 Theme: DIVERSITY! Our end of year all Academy show features a different theme each year and showcases all the learning students have accomplished the past two semesters of class. This year we will celebrate the diverse nature of dance in the world showcasing as many different styles of dance as we can including American folk dancing, European character dancing, Spanish & mid-eastern style classical ballet, African and Latin music and so much more! All students are expected (but not required) to participate and detailed information is available in Dec. Performances are at Lakota East HS and may be held in late April or May, depending upon stage availability.

Youth Company Level 4-7:
NEW for this year! Level 4 may join! A performing group open to dancers that are extremely motivated to further their dance training, like being at the studio and love performing! Students must display a strong commitment to dance, be willing to rehearse most weekends during the year and are required to take 1 ballet (Sat class), modern and jazz class during the week, plus Company class as scheduled. Admittance is by audition only and ALL DANCERS ARE ACCEPTED, but you MUST attend the audition for admittance. Auditions held in Sept and Jan with rehearsals running Sept-Dec and Feb-May. Dancers will perform Company only choreography for the Academy Nutcracker and Spring Show, with additional community performances scheduled during the year. Detailed information available Aug 3.

Competition Ensemble Levels 4-7:
NEW this year! An opportunity for students wanting the excitement and thrill of performing in a competition setting for judges critique. Dancers will perform ensemble (group) choreography in jazz and modern only. Admittance is by invitation only, at the discretion of the ensemble director. Ensemble students must take two ballet classes plus jazz, modern and scheduled ensemble class weekly and maintain excellent attendance throughout the entire year. 2-3 regional and/or national finals competitions may be scheduled for 08-09 with detailed information available Aug 3. PRELIMINARY informational meeting for invited dancers and families to learn more will be held on two Thurs, May 22 & 29 from 6:30-7 pm.

Jubilation!  Levels 4-6:
NEW Director, Miss Mary! A Christian dance performing group for dancers ages 8-14 years. Rehearsals will be held 2 or 3 Sundays per month. No audition required, all dancers accepted (must be taking 1 ballet class weekly to join). Dancers will perform at Academy Nutcracker and Spring Show, additional community performances may be added. Detailed information available Aug 3, rehearsals begin in Sept.

Rising Tide Dance Company Level 7:
